Power in fixing but no light

I've put up a new light fixing in our bedroom - it's just a simple ceiling rose bought from Toolstation and was brand new. I don't have a load of electrical experience but understand the basics and have connected wires as directed online. The room already had a pendant light in it with a dimmer switch which i have changed for a simple flip switch.

I've connected up the wires as directed online:
- both live wires into the central "loop" block
- mains neutral into "neutral" block
- switch neutral into "line" block

I have a cheap voltage meter that shows that the fixing has power when the switch is on and no power when the switch is off. However I still don't get light from my bulb! I am baffled - any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

The BLUE Wire from the Switch is the Switched Line (NOT NEUTRAL)
and should be identified with Brown tubing.
