Price on a part please?

Heat exchanger (DHW) for a Vaillaint VCWGB221H

If I'm looking at the right thing after Googling parts websites, somewhere between £90-£100?

And will the part look the same as the old one, or will it have been superseded?

Also, any idea of price if I have to have the expansion tank changed as well?

This would just be for parts, not labour. If anyone could help I'd be grateful

It's my uncle, but he couldn't get hold of the supplier tonight as it was after 5pm when he checked the boiler out.

He'll get prices tomorrow, just wondered if anyone had an idea.

I think I've got the right part from Googling a few websites, just need reassurance as depending on model, they can be anything from £80 to £500!

About £80-£90 BUT they can be cleaned which is the cheaper and quicker option for anyone!

Wwe always clean them as we are kind to our customers!

I don't think cleaning will help, it's cracked in at least one place and is leaking, covered in muck (oxidised?) -- tell me if I'm wrong though.

The original one is metal rather than plastic.

I have two of these if it is the Hot Plate conversion kit etc you are after to replace the bakerlite type similiar to the 242e / 282e ones
