this is what happens when you catch a pick axe on a washing line and it bounces back at your head.

rather quick.

it may seem a bit diy'ish but this was a professional disaster!

these were taken about 24hrs after.

the bruising and swelling eventually took over my head!

we had been using a breaker on an old conservatory base for most of the day.

came across some cemented-down celcon blocks. the breaker was just going right through the block without actually breaking them. just punching holes.

i decided to lever the blocks up with the pickaxe. came across a real stubborn one and swung the pick full bore.

the washing line was hooked at top arc, and as i swung downwards the washing line didn't snap.

it was double strung!

in a split second the line tensed up and the pick bounced straight back.

ouch.

my work buddy was a good nurse though.

reminds me of the time my boy nearly took my leg off with an axe touched my trouser it was that close .luckily it was my dodgy one (from bike accident).....one consolation, Noseall I had you at least 15 years olderthan your pic
