Normal 12.5mm plasterboard and 3mm skim will give 30 minutes on ceilings and beams - but the support and fixings play a big part in terms of cladding beams. On walls it can depend on the function of the partition, so it could mean that two layers are needed on one side or a layer either side of the partition. The joints are the weak points and strictly, all joints should be supported.
