I had the jab on Monday that AZ one

felt a bit rough the next day tbh

ached all down one side of my body

but I survived  transam is not one to make a fuss

Bit harsh. But a typical and expected response given the abuse i’ve witnessed on other threads. The second anyone is challenged here it gets abusive.
So sad. I’ll not bother again.
Will stick to diy q’s like a good girl(y)
T. I'm not being rude or abusive. Sod, as she was known, (user name: sodthisforfun) was a lady poster on here who suddenly disappeared. I thought you were her, back under a different name.

Preliminary analyses suggest that at least some vaccines are likely to have a transmission-blocking effect. But confirming that effect — and how strong it will be — is tricky because a drop in infections in a given region might be explained by other factors, such as lockdowns and behaviour changes. Not only that, the virus can spread from asymptomatic carriers, which makes it hard to detect those infections.
I’ve not read anywhere that any existing covid vaccine kills or blocks transmission, have you?

Lockdowns are made up of multiple Non pharmaceutical interventions and govts alter them all the time somits difficult to identify the effect each has.

Vaccine roll out is on top of that, so it's hard to know what impact it has on transmission rates....early indications suggest it's significant.

I think it must be the Trolls refuge.

Well, I think we can all see from this that JTP is just a fabricator of facts. You really can’t take anything this poster says as truth.

Pathetic little troll.
Someone disagreeing with your thoughts and beliefs doesn’t constitute a troll, yet when you get caught out (which you have been multiple times) you resort to name calling etc. So ask yourself who is the troll.
The facts you have provided come from the MSM and the government which have been proven to be false.
Go back over the last few months forum posts on here regarding Covid and see what I have said compared to what you have said.
I have been called every name under the sun for my views (yes mine as I made my own decision,I didn’t follow the masses like a good little boy to get a good little boy sticker that you parade as a profile picture on here like a little child).
Yet what I have said regarding Covid over the last few months has come true.
So that wouldn’t constitute a fabrication of facts.
Yet you believe this virus nonsense so much you choose to break lockdown rules to meet a young family member in a park for a birthday.
You have got yourself a jab,got yourself a little good boy sticker, been on furlough for god knows how long where as I have led a normal as normal can be life.
Vaccines, good boy sticker, furlough (All helping the country get into millions of pounds worth of debt.
So who is in fact helping this country.
You have nothing better to do with your time than abuse people on a forum 24/7.
Get yourself back to work(stop sponging off the government).
Spend some time with Mrs mottie , instead of online 24/7.
I’m sorry your life is so boring right now pocketing your free cash.
(For the record is it something you do with mot,s on cars you did for a job?)
Millions of car garages have been open up and down the country throughout Covid.
Get yourself back to work.
Furlough isn’t forever.

It's an extremely selfish attitude, cowardly too and incredibly stupid. It has been confirmed to be safe millions of times over, prevents the worst of the symptoms and would seem to help prevent the spread, it doesn't hurt, SWMBO had it this morning, worked a full day and came home fine. She was scared stiff of needles, I have to take her and steady her as she had the jab. She came out with a smile on her face. John is obviously terrified of the jab maybe he needs someone to go with him? What other explanation is there?
What are you talking about,I choose to not have the vaccine for many reasons,
The only cowards are the ones who run to the doctors to have a meaningless jab (that doesn’t stop you catching or spreading COVID-19) to get their little good boy sticker in the hope the country will go back to normal.
Remind us all how that is going?

My sons mate, same age as my son, 35, has a friend who is a copper and they had so many jabs that would have gone to to waste they were told to ask their friends. He got his jab yesterday.
Is this another of your my mates mums brothers, cousins, friends dads, sisters all work on the front line stories?
So many jabs left over you say?
What does that tell you Einstein?

So have I but even when I have my second jab, I’ll still treat others as if they have it - masks, social distancing, hand washing etc.
You have had your second jab.
A jab that works so well.
A jab you have so much confidence in that you will still behave in that way?
If the jab is so good why are you not confident enough to get back to normal.
Are you actually reading what you write?

It tells me there’s idiots and bames even in the police force

True, but someone claiming to have spoken to their local landlord but won’t name the pub and keeps swerving the question is a sure sign of a troll on the back foot if ever I’ve seen one.

So what will you have gained?

Btw, it's been reported that you'll have to have another 'booster this autumn for a 'new strain'...

"She (Dr Lawson) confirmed the NHS is now working on the basis that a “revaccination campaign” will begin later this year, with those already protected against Covid-19 given a booster shot tailored to tackle newer strains of coronavirus, such as the South African and Brazilian variants, which appear to be partially resistant to the existing jabs. This would run in parallel with the annual flu jab from October."

And probably a 'year on year' jab...

Did you treat the threat of flu similarly?

Jab or no jab made a difference to your activities?

Jab or no jab?
I would have hopefully gained a chance of not dying or suffering long Covid if I caught it. Until it has died down to around the same level as flu, I’ll still take precautions in public spaces. Yes, I have the flu jab but if it was as transmissible as Covid, I'll be taking the same precautions and stay away from people with signs of flu as I haven’t heard of flu being asymptomatic. If there’s a year on year jab, I’d take it.

In all honesty, can you say that you, your partner and your medic sons haven’t had a Covid jab and don’t plan to either?

Was ho

Uptake among NHS is surprisingly low particularly from BAME staff.
I've found 93%. That's not low.

You might want to read your own first sentence.
Does your herd immunity theory only apply to people who are medically unable to be vaccinated or also the minority who refuse a vaccine on other grounds?
People who refuse a vaccine because they're idiots use up some of the margin needed by those who can't take it, or for whom it didn't work.

But refusing a vaccine isn't bravery, cowardice, selfish or generous. It's just a bit thick.

Fair enough...

You take as many 'jabs' as you wish, since you obviously hope they will protect you from whatever 'virus' you are told to be in fear of...

Personally I'm in wait and see mode...

As for my partner and children, I don't answer for them...

How many times do you have to have that repeated to you to get it through your very thick skull?

Edit: You should be grateful to those who wish to 'wait and see'
More 'vaccine(s)' to go around for the sheeple ;)

Baah...
