pulsing on start up.

Hello ,can anyone suggest a possible cause for a fault which has developed on a grant euroflame oil boiler with a riello rdl burner.It has recently begun to pulse two or three times on start up before the flame establishes properly.It has not locked out yet although it is getting worse .
Of course when i went to investigate the burner worked perfectly, but i know i will get called back soon when it does it again.I fitted a new nozzle and cleaned the photocell (which was filming over) and suggested they give it another try but i'm wondering if it could be a sticking stem valve.How do you test them ? Any other suggestions please.Thankyou in advance.

anyway have you checked the fupping oil pressure. and the fupping air

with a bit of luck it should work...just like that
