By that reckoning, the rest of your sums are wrong too.

Your order of operations are wrong....The 4 is divided by 2 first, then added to the 6.

To get 5 it would be.....(6+4)/2

We're calculating the mean figure to get the skill rating, which is first rating + second rating / number of ratings. Example, 4 + 5 = 9. The 9 is then divided by 2 to give the answer, in this case 4.5

Then, why did you post it?
It's not an arithmetic contest. Just add them up and divide by two. For most people here, it doesn't matter that the division part of the sum isn't done first, they are coming to the answer the op wants, that's what's important.
