Hi.. our recycle bins have a triangular shape lock/key.. does anyone know where i could get one? Failing this, recommend a small resin kit that i could take an impression of it and make one myself.. recyclables now form the majority of waste here and the little slot is no longer practical for disposal.

Thanks for that.. do you know though that the meter keys fit the recycle bins? Same size triangle?

No idea. We don't really value our rubbish in Yorkshire, so we don't have a lock on our bins.

typical of the whole recycling nonsense, why go to the bother, expense, and raw material waste to make locks for bins, britain sends tons of recycled rubbish overseas as we dont recycle it,

They are made with locks because in some areas they have their waste monitored by weight & checked for what's in it.

If there is recyclable stuff in with the non recyclable rubbish then the householder gets a hefty fine.
So they get locked so that some other twonk does not put rubbish in there.

Thats what the whole shebang has come to.
