Red, blue and unidentified wire

Hi, looking to put a night lamp on this wall using existing wiring from the switch. The cables coming out the wall are blue, red and one unidentified wire which has just been attached to under a screw on the bulb casing.

Couple questions:

1. Is the unidentified cable likely to be the neutral wire owing to where it has been screwed to?

2. The red cable to go to the Live point on the new lamp bulb and blue to blue obviously?

Thanks!

Is it a screw-in bulbholder?

(E.S.)

The relevance is that the L wire (switched, red, live) goes to the centre contact deep in the bulbholder, which you are slightly less likely to touch with your finger than the threaded collar.

It will be one of the terminals on the outside, I can't see which.

If the lamp is made for the European Market, bulbs you buy in the High Street will fit.

The American screw thread is slightly different

The new light has a connector block with clearly marked terminals for L, N and earth.
