regs for changing an electric shower

hi would any one know the regs for changing an electric shower . im changing the old one for a new one and they are both 8.5 watts. do i need to get a sparky in to sign it off when im done .

i would like to point out that this is my gfs sign in name . i am not groovy or a chic :LOL:

That's what I thought any work in bathrooms or kitchens ( special locations ) need to be notified, no matter how minor.
 
Like for like exchange might not be compulsory to notify or certify, in it was my electric shower, I would feel a whole lot happier to know that the bonding was well within tolerance and the rcd was operating accurately. Just the thought, brrrrr
