Hi,
This may be (hopefully) a very simple one but I thought I would put this out there for confirmation.
I've just bought a new single oven which has a max rated input of 3.1 kW and needs a "16 A double pole switched fused spur outlet". The old oven was on its own radial circuit via a 50 A double pole switch. I believe the radial circuit from the consumer unit is 6 mm twin and earth.
I don't need to move the oven to a different position and there are no other appliances on this circuit.
Is it as simple as swapping the 50 A switch for a 16 A one and wiring back up?
Apologies if this is a stupidly straightforward or dangerously inept question!
Cheers
