Replacing a thermostat?

Hi, I have a Honeywell CM927 thermostat that's at least a decade old. Some of the buttons are starting to only work intermittently, so I'm looking to buy a replacement. I can see a few models online that claim to be a replacement for the CM927, but they all seem to come with a receiver.

Is it possible to buy a thermostat that comes on its own and is compatible with the old receiver? I'd rather do that than pay extra for a new receiver and then have to pay someone to wire it up to the boiler. I'm not sure what model the old receiver is, but I've attached a picture of it (and one of the thermostat itself). The boiler is a Glowworm Ultracom2 30cxi if that's relevant.

Any advice is appreciated!

I would replace both parts at that age,simple enough to replace.

You wouldn’t need someone to wire up the boiler as the wiring is there, so just change over. If you wanted straight swap have a look at Honeywell T2R which comes with the same receiver, but unclip existing and just utilise the backplate
