Hi,

I moved into a now apartment that has loads of spot lights in every room. I intend to replace them with celiling lamps that use energy saving bulbs. I opened the spot light wiring and noted 4 wires brown, red, black and blue. Can I simply join the N - Blue, L - Brown and Earthing for the combination of Black and Red? If I do this will it work without any problems?

Thanks for your responses in advance!

Why not just by the energy saving bulbs for the spot lights?

Oh and you really seem to not have a clue what to do.

Agreed, I am learning!

Can you pl advise which energy saving bulbs are ideal in this situation?

Err, there are a great many different types.

What sort of lamp does your spotlight take?
A photo will be of great help - post a picture of the wiring too.
