Reveal query.

Hi,
I'm about to start plasterboarding a timber frame extension.
Do I need timber boards round the window frames before plasterboarding the reveals?.

No!
12.5mm gyproc will suffice

If you have the tolerance my advice would be to use insulated plasterboards at the reveal detail as this helps prevent black spot problems.

Thanks again. I can't really see what's holding the window frame in but presumably (hopefully!) there are hidden fixings.

if you open the window you should see screws going through the frame.
