Reversing axial plate fan motor rotation

unless the fan blade can be removed and reversed as stated safely, then with it being single phase it cannot be reversed easily.

taking the blades off and reversing them does absolutely nothing, they still slope the same way whichever way you put them on....

and you should be able to reverse it, give us a model number or a picture of the fan and connections..

can't speak for the smaller ones, the smallest woods fan we used was about 20 inches across.. but on those it should only be a case of swapping the capacitor to the other coil shouldn't it?

as it's a plate fan, it's flat on one side so mounting it the other way means the fan part has to go into the hole..

in general you have 2 coils, one U1 - U2, the other Z1 - Z2.

for clockwise rotation it's usually wired with U1 and Z2 together ( sometimes labled as U/Z ) with U2 and Z1 linked through a capacitor.

to reverse you change it so that U1 and Z1 are linked with the capacitor, and U2 and Z2 are together in U/Z..

or at least that should be it.. you may have to swap Z1 and Z2 round in the second one to get it to work right..

Try remco for a fan opposite pitch they refer to them as suckers or blowers viewed facing fan

depending on the type of woods fan you can change the pitch of the blades if they are metal.. alen key time..
obviously you can't do that if they are a one piece plastic moulded blade..

Thanks guys, I have managed to get some pics and a diagram. Any help and info on this fan appreciated. I need it as an extractor for 2k paint.
Cheers

As ColJack said, swap round Z1 and Z2, just like it says on the note on the label in the picture you posted.
