Yes I have done plastic conduit before, at college in the workshop, doing a ring final & a 3 way switched, 3 lamp lighting circuit, in it.

Here are some more pictures of what I have done so far:

Looks as if you have been usding G&Y Earth Identification sticky tape round non-earth wires, and blue tape on brown wires, and red tape on blue wires.

A good tip is to lay in a good stock of White tape for holding things together so you are not tempted to "identify" things wrongly. It is also useful for making labels, with a permanent marker.

I hate to see electricians who have a roll of sticky G&Y tape handy and use it round all sorts of things that are not earthed.

The tape is so that I know what wire is for what thing

I know that:

  • The 2 G/Y taped wires, are the L & N for the pond pump

The 2 Blue taped wires, are the L & N for the 6 LV Post lights

The 2 Red taped wires, are the L & N for the side path LV lights

The 2 untaped wires, are the L & N for the summer House light

I understand what you wanted to use the tape for.

But you surely don't think it's right?

What does red sleeving or tape mean on a lighting circuit? "Switched Live" or "the path lamps?" What does G&Y mean? "Earthed" or "the pond pump?"

Just had a peep at the most recent pics, will have a peep at the earlier ones later ;) .
Outside JB, you show the conduit single wires coming through the wall unprotected, have you made good? They should really be inside conduit as they pass through the wall and into the accessory. Have you solvent glued the joints in the conduit? Pond pump socket, is the pond pump outdoors? If so is there RCD protection for it?

There is RCD protection in the shed CCU

The JBs are for:

JB 1:

Pond Pump & 6 LV Post Lights

JB 2:

Side Path LV Lights & Summer House Light

The 5 amp Round Pin Socket is for the Pond Lights

Is it me or is this post...........

Yeah, though I understand where ricicle is coming from, trawling through 5 pages is a bit of a pain!! Maybe start a new topic? I take it you are a C&G pupil?

It doesn't matter what the outside JBs are for, are they and the wiring system to them selected and erected correctly? I don't like the idea of the conduit singles going through the wooden structure without additional protection i.e. drilling the hole big enough and running a conduit through.

There is conduit present on the inside, it goes into the hole, perhaps this will be added in his next post
