I went to pump up the van tyres yesterday.............................I had to pay 50p, it used to be 20p, now that is Inflation!

That's quite a narrow view. Noble but inaccurate.

Maybe just me then. I am of course excluding landlords, speculators and property developers. I bought my house to live in.

Edit: Actually, I’ve just realised that’s not quite true. We bought our first house in 1984 to live in AND for the workshop and yard that came with it. When we moved in 1990 we sold just the house, retaining the workshop and yard that I worked in from 1984 to 1995 and again from 2010 to present. In between, we rented it out. We received more in rent for the workshop in 15 years than we paid for the house and the workshop. The £10k small business grant we received a few months ago was just the icing on the cake.
