RNLI

I’m just pleased that when the likes of f-boi flounce-announce their rescinding of their 50p a year donations, 10 more generous donators take the old misers place.
Its a shame you didn't get your favourite AI to analyse their more recent books.

Income growth of 0.7%, expenditure growth of 3.3%. '23 to '24
Legacies (the RNLI's single biggest income line, ~60% of total) actually fell — from £156.90m in 2023 to £151.30m in 2024, a drop of about 3.6%.
  • Regular donations and legacies combined were essentially flat (£222.60m → £222.40m)
  • spending rose steadily each year: £177.2m → £185.6m → £195.3m — up 10% over two years
The new CEO is doing a good job of repairing the damage, but he has a long way to go to turn the reputation around.

Doess any of that include the fund raising from Nosenowt? Or are his efforts on top of these figures?

Seems it hasn't helped.

Neither has the RNLI's claim that only 1.2% of their rescue efforts are focused on channel crossings. That is a misrepresentation, because they lump it in with lifeguards etc. When you actually look at the total number of people rescued by lifeboats. Small boats account for whopping 28.4% 2,353 ÷ 8,290 of people rescued. The odd thing is they only account for about 5.7% (the rest are recovered by BorderForce etc), so they could easily repair their reputation, without impacting safety.

Back when small boats were at their highest...

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is on course for the highest annual fundraising total in its near 200-year history. Donations swelled after the charity attracted huge public support following rightwing attacks for helping save the lives of asylum seekers at risk of drowning in the Channel.

The RNLI said it has received a significant increase in support, with online donations rising by 50% this year.

Titter

Each time there are right wing attacks, the RNLI see a boost in donations.
Keep it up boys. (y)

Keep it up boyos.
Great news. The RNLI go out and rescue all in peril in the sea , yet Noseall , in his socialist, Marxist , Leninist closed loop mentality, seeks to attack the right wing as if the right wing would gladly abandon the RNLI. The reason the RNLI are put in the position of taking extra risk is because of the socialist, Marxist , Leninist upper echelons of European political hierarchy who push the illegal immigration’s scam to the detriment of Europe, he’s so dumb he thinks the RWR are fools but he is the fool , watching his locality and nation being changed beyond recognition for socialist idealism

I am sure it was, I mean you don't know how much it was so I am sure the RNLI were grateful for your coins.
As long as people keep donating and those donations shoot up when the RWR start bumping their gums - I’m happy.

Why are they being rescued, are they in danger, or are they explicitly in danger on the grounds that they have no oars or is it that there are 89 of them in a 10 man dingy or is it that the outboard motor ony has enough fuel to get them half way or does one of them phone for a lift then dump the phone overboard.
