Room Stat Vs Radiator Stat?! Help Needed

Dear all,

Just moved to new home....
I have a Baxi combi boiler; fairly new and a "Center" 7 day programmable Room stat. This is located in the dining room

On each of the radiators we have a "Myson TRV 2 Way" radiator stat inc the rad in the dining room. Should this TRV be switched to max to not compete/confuse the Room stat?

Can you advise if this set-up is OK to have? We have noticed rooms hotter than others and some a lot colder.
Some rad stats are on the III setting others are on IIII setting (Is this the temp of the Rad to get to or the speed?)

I am wanting to know how to best use the current set-up to get each room pretty much equal in temp but having only 1 room stat. Is this even possible?!

Yes it should, but ideally it shouldn't have been fitted with a TRV in the first place. You can't have two devices trying to achieve the same thing. One will interfere with the operation of the other.

A TRV is not there to control the temperature of the radiator, it's there to control the temperature of the room. As the room approaches the temperature selected on the TRV, the radiator will start to cool down so that the set room temperature is maintained.

Assuming that the system is properly designed. The room stat will be located in one of the last rooms to heat up so that the other rooms are warm before it switches off the heating. Meanwhile the other rooms don't overheat because of their TRV's
