Good Evening

I was wondering if you could help me ?

I recently moved into a house which was built in 2013.

When I moved it the heating system was already dosed with Fernox Protector F1.

When I drained the system the water ran clear as expected. however when I removed the radiators from the wall and poured out the remaining water from the bottom of each radiator I found that it was dirty and rusty coloured ??

I let this water settle and found that the rust particles and dirt settled to the bottom - the water above was more or less clear.

Is this normal ?

Might the system have been under dosed ?

Should the system now be treated with Fernox Cleanser F3 before it is redosed with Fernox Protector F1 ?

Thanks in advance.

Yes - Providing the quantity of debris in each rad is small.

Possible but unlikely unless you have an unusually large heating system (a 500 ml bottle is enough to protect an average 3 bedroom house)

Wouldn't have thought it necessary but it won't do any harm if you want to.

redosed with Fernox Protector F1
Yes
