Rwanda won't happen now, if indeed it was ever going to, at least not to any significant extent.

I've said before, this is where folk could be forgiven for starting to believe some of the conspiracy theory stuff around things like this. e.g. does it actually suit the government not to resolve this, ensuring they have another deviation string to their bow, distracting us from their failures with the NHS, housing, jobs etc. 'It's the migrants fault!' is a very useful tool for incompetent government.

The Ministry of Defence does not believe that any migrants arrived on their own terms in a small boat from the English Channel.

It goes up and down at times. Probably needing to get more boats and engines. The EU are looking into that aspect. It can be used to directly detect smugglers. They have to be imported.
