Of course I didn't programme anything. I'm apparently a complete idiot!

I just re-wired and hoped for the best.

Right, I shall (properly) read Bigsosij's earlier comment, take another look at the manual and take things from there.

Due to work and Christmas, I won't get around to this until next week but thanks for the helpful comments...

Command 83 needs to be programmed as 4 for shock shensor reset. Will take you a couple of seconds

Hi both, just a brief update....The 83/4 shock reset worked a treat and I can now set the alarm! Thank you so much for all your help and guidance.

(Just to understand, when I set the alarm the display on the keypad briefly flashes 'Zone 5 open' but it then sets and all appears to be working fine - is the fact that it flashes 'Zone 5 open' normal procedure? As a reminder, Zone 5 is the shock sensor).

Yes ….it drops the output for a few seconds to reset the shock sensors …

Hi Sparkymarka, many thanks for confirming. Sounds like it's all working the way it's supposed to! (I've also carried out a walk test and purposefully triggered the alarm and all seems to be working fine).
