Seal Internal Brick Wall

Hi,

I've just exposed an internal brick wall in my house in which i would like to stud, insulate and put plaster board over.

Can anyone recommend a product that will seal the brick?

This wall is double brick on an end of terrace house wall.... should i consider ventilation?

When I read up, I think what you need is a 'parge' coat, this is just to seal any gaps.

Mine were back to the brick, but rendered on the outside, so I didn't think it necessary.
I did a 25mm batten, 50mm celotex on top of batten, taped, then plasterboard on top. Celotex (foil boards) is also vapour barrier, if well taped.
Yes it took a while, but the result is good.

As for ventilation in the room, open the window now and again.
