The vaccination wont get round to you lot anyway for a good while yet. In the meantime you still stand a chance of contracting "this new strain" just as much as you do now. I will be availing myself of the vaccine as soon as I can. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end, until a new strain appears or even a completely different killer disease. Lets see what happens down London way after the New Year celebrations that shouldn't be happeneing but I bet they will.

Walking down the Toon’s quayside yesterday you could hardly keep your balance with all the discarded plastic beer glasses, bottles and cans courtesy of the pubs offering take away booze.
Although it’s against the law to drink booze in the streets there, the Plod turn a blind eye to the vast amounts of socialising going on.
Therefore, we deserve all we get and lets not be surprised at the soaring infection rate.

Don't be flippant about this virus, it's potentially fatal to people who are already on their death beds.
Its potentially fatal to people in good health. 'Underlying conditions' includes Asthma, diabetes or high blood pressure.
