I wonder who’s going to be delivering the massive “single ignition” firework I’ve ordered for NYE? It’s great, goes on for 2 1/2 minutes (that’s longer than I go on for now!)

Both the DPD and Hermes lists are codswallop. The college I work at is a new building and both carriers have knowingly carried YUASA batteries which they delivered to us. DPD dropped off 3 separate packs today which are heavy YUASA back ups for the intruder systems. They may not know what they are to be used for, but the brown box with the company logo on, clearly states 'YUASA 12V Rechargeable Battery'. Both DPD and Hermes have delivered science laboratory equipment clearly marked as 'GLASS' Scientific Equipment. VERY FRAGILE! Handle with extreme care!

VERY FRAGILE! Handle with extreme care!
A friend of mine once worked for the Royal mail, and he observed that the billions spent on working out how to split the atom were wasted...

It would have been far more efficient to put one in an envelope marked 'fragile' and drop it off at the local post office (y)

Those lists are just so they can get out of any claims for lost parcels.

Just package them well and ignore the lists.

A lot of items you can send, but they won't insure them. You have to say what you are sending, they then know the items which aren't insured, and hey presto, they vanish. "Sorry, we lost it, but you can't claim". Fishing rods are a prime example.
