Should I fit skirting boards before or after floor tiles?

Hi all.

I'm completely renovating my kitchen. It's going to literally have a just a concrete floor once I rip up the old lino.
I'm going to be removing the skirting boards because they're very old and I'd like to fit some new ones.

Should I fit the new skirting boards before or after fitting the slate floor tiles?

The job will look that much better if you place the skirting boards after the tiles - it will also give you a little leeway regarding placing the tiles up against the wall as any gap will be covered.
