I voted no, only because we are better as a unit, rather than a series of small ineffectual countries. as far as I am aware scotland gets more of our taxes per head than we do.
if we did devolve we wouldnt have to put up with professional whinging scotsmen like alec salmond. and also can we get rid of all the scots that live in england who are forever telling us what a fantastic country it is, if its so great go and live there.

Another wee 'mistake' propagated by the media. In terms of GVA (gross value added) in other words how much,on average, every person puts into the country, England contributes £20442 per head of population and Scotland £19744 without taking into account oil and gas revenues. When this is factored in the Scottish contribution is £24000 per head of population. In effect, we are subsidising our big southerly neighbour. (Those numbers are from 2009 and appear on a UK government website. WWW.statistics.gov.uk for all you doubters out there:cool: BTW look for Regional,sub-regional and local gross value added. Yes I am sad.

that's great Boab.

And which gets more money spent, per head?

the scots who live in Ennguuurland do so as a result of losing a toss of the coin in the charity they work in, its all about outreach to help the poor of the world, the winner of the toss gets to choose Ethiopa or england, and chooses Ethiopia, the loser heading down the M74 to a life of destitution trying to help the poor unfortunates in england

I think I'd like a free Scotland just to shut the professional moaners up!!

Great quote from a Scot, "We hate England and the English 'cos they're s**t but how s**t does that make us, when we're ruled by them!!"

Makes me laugh, I like Scotland BTW, fine country! And yes one of my best mates is from Scotland... And my sister lives there.

I think a split is inevitable and long overdue- we don't have a "British Empire" as such anymore, so the English really shouldn't need the soldiers from their closest colonies now to win their battles for them....
I'd prefer a government run by Alex Salmond to that chinless toff Cameron. At least our top man would not have taken us into illegal wars, wants no new Trident, wants spending on infrastructure/education/health etc put above buying more arms and wants rid of the council tax etc.
I think Scots are more inherently socialist and community minded, which is why we ****ing hate Conservatives, who'd sell off the family silver entirely to keep their business chums sweet. That's reason enough to devolve.

We've got more pandas than Tory MP's in Scotland now...

You're right I have none. In fact I'm am simply a turing machine.

I didn't realise it was "Scotland's oil".

actually, halt all this devolution rubbish, looks like we might have to give the argies another thick ear. ( I think I may be jeremy clarkson) bearing in mind I am simply an automated response.

so if we split from Scotland, Wales etc... and we're part of the EU... does that mean the Scots and the Welsh will flood into England and take our jobs and homes?

is scotland better off under labour or snp than it was under conservatives?
PS i hate them all by the way, and would not like to split if it meant we became a republic, as i am a Royalist
