I voted no, only because we are better as a unit, rather than a series of small ineffectual countries. as far as I am aware scotland gets more of our taxes per head than we do.
if we did devolve we wouldnt have to put up with professional whinging scotsmen like alec salmond. and also can we get rid of all the scots that live in england who are forever telling us what a fantastic country it is, if its so great go and live there.

Another wee 'mistake' propagated by the media. In terms of GVA (gross value added) in other words how much,on average, every person puts into the country, England contributes £20442 per head of population and Scotland £19744 without taking into account oil and gas revenues. When this is factored in the Scottish contribution is £24000 per head of population. In effect, we are subsidising our big southerly neighbour. (Those numbers are from 2009 and appear on a UK government website. WWW.statistics.gov.uk for all you doubters out there BTW look for Regional,sub-regional and local gross value added. Yes I am sad.
