I am thinking of putting in a shower enclosure.
The available width is 1050mm
Most suppliers have tray and door sizes of 1000mm or 1100 mm wide.
There are very few suppliers who can supply 1050, but they are very expensive.

The question is - Is it better to go for 1000mm or 1100mm wide tray and door?

If I go for 1000mm, how can i cover up the remaining 50mm? (About 10mm can go in tiling I guess)

Thanks!

Trying to bury 50mm of tray into a wall sounds potentially problematic. So the 1000 sounds the better option.

Assuming you space is a recess, the gap at between the tray and the wall can be infilled with concrete and tile over. The door/screen gap can be infilled with a timber strip with a plastic trim glued to it.

Yes the enclosure is recessed.
Filling the wall with concrete - are you suggesting filling with something like bonding or putting some kind of board?

Have you though about how/where your going to run the pipework :?: that 50mm could be very useful if you intend fitting a concealed mixer valve & pipe work.
