Shower Wire

Is shower cable a special size? At the fuse the wires look the same as 4m cooker cable, but inside the pvc it looks smaller than 4m but larger than 2.5m. I'm keen to learn

shower cables are usually 6mm² or more commonly these days, 10mm². The latter is really fat and you would notice it if it was there.

I would normally expect the cooker to be on a 6mm² too

Unless a 60's/70's install. 4mm2 was very common in those days, esp. for 7kW showers.
