It’s hard to see how any words could possibly defame that character. If i was Trump i would sue the BBC for defamation of character
True. It’s hard to see how any words could possibly defame that character.

Wonder when the BBC will stop bullying people to pay for a licence,
why don't they do what Netflix do and let people subscribe/ choose?

So because other countries pay more we should just suck it up.....mmmmm, no.Is that a case of one man's "bullying" is another man's "enforcement of the law"?
There are advantages to having public service broadcasting.
The UK is not an outlier in having some sort fee to watch (or whatever) it. Some countries add it to electricity bills, whether you watch TV or not. Some add it to phone bills, ditto. Some also fund the broadcaster directly, again ditto.
And we are not the most expensive.

I have never understood how a private company can impose a licence fee even if you dont want it, surely they could encrypt their chanel so you subscribe to watch it if you want and not just because you have a tv.

So because other countries pay more we should just suck it up.....mmmmm, no.

Have you seen some of the videos of the people knocking doors? They dont seem very niceMaybe not.
But we should stop whining.
I prefer sky news now as the papers is interesting -guests that come on and review todays headline stories.Michelle has a beautiful voice, quite liked listening to her
but here lies the problem with the BBC, I listen to the Today progam too, and believe what they tell me - but are they no more reliable than GB news ? or LBC ? are we told the truth or what they want us to believe

I’ve had many dozens of letters from their enforcement company at the various properties I own which have no TV. All imply I am breaking the law. Some cross the line from legitimate action to attempts to defraud or harass.Have you seen some of the videos of the people knocking doors? They dont seem very nice

There are some 2M homes that have opted out now and the number is growing. If you make the mistake of telling them you don’t need a license they contact you anyway.
It’s not hard to live without iplayer or live TV.

Idiotic statement against motorbiking...I don't mind paying the t.v licence, although i watch v. little other than the news at nine or HIGNFY at the w/end, but the licence goes towards helping pensioners and less fortunate folk who need a television and radio to stay in touch with the wider world - motorbiking clearly feels these folk should live in ignorance and die in darkness. He's alright, Jack.
