So, another lockdown.

More poor government from our government!
It is clear that opening schools is spreading it, but while Wales and Ireland closed schools for an extra week, we decided not to, but keep them open and shut other services...

We should have had a 2 week half term, and the government should already be planning and announcing a 3-4 week Christmas school closure to help stop the spread.

But they probably wont, and instead watch as everybody else does that and decide after Christmas that we need to close nail bars again.

What. like dentists?. Sorry but I know of NHS staff either through family or friends, they've had quite a bit of time off this year, nothing to do. As I said earlier but you may have missed it, thousands of appointments were cancelled here this year to cater for an influx of covid patients, which at it's peak, was 12.

Out of interest, what was the capacity of the Nightingale hospitals and how much of that was used.

dentists are only doing emergency appointments at the moment, and refuse to do anything major unless they have to, all they are doing is temporary repairs at the moment to ease the pain.

both my wife and my father have experienced this

I'd rather take something anecdotal from a doctor on board, than a conspiracy theories sitting at home in front of their computer!
How accurate is the coronavirus test?
The test is not 100% accurate; at present it is thought to detect approximately 70% of coronavirus infections. A negative test does not mean that you stop self-isolating if you have coronavirus symptoms. Tests are completely voluntary.

A lot of these reports of reinfection have been based on faulty tests results.

lack of testing accuracy doesnt prove there is no reinfection.

thus far there is not sufficient evidence to know what level of natural immunity is achieved or for how long.

evidence of any reinfection (which there is) proves natural immunity is not a sure thing.

Urgh, what's with the moaning about the hospitals "not being busy", you should try talking to those sorting out services, they're flat out. There's stack loads of work going on re-allocating staff to deal with emerging requirements - taking them away from their day job and in some cases to do frontline Covid care when they trained for something entirely different.

Our local dentists are working shifts to limit the number of people in the surgery at any given time (as they're required to do). This has drastically reduced the number of appointments and thus the work they can carry out.

It's common sense. If any one of the moaners took stock, sought out actual information instead of tossing off over Dave's internet opinion maybe we could have less bashing of the people who truly are going above and beyond to make sure we're all ok.

Screw the politicians, whether you think they're any good or not, right decisions or not. They do f'all when it comes to organising our primary care.

Absolutely true.
Sorry, just the normal stance on here. People not wanting to believe anything they don't like, regardless of truth!
