If glueing overflow pipe would you glue the pipe only. Or both the pipe and fittings? Thanks

Pipe only IMO, stops excess glue being forced inside the fitting.
Roughen pipe with a bit of 120 grit, then cement on pipe only and fit, twisting while inserting.
