I am getting a polished concrete floor.
After it is finished I will be rebuilding a small dense concrete block partition wall.
However, it is likely I will take this wall down at some point.

I don't want staining/marking on the polished floor should I ever remove this wall.
So thinking of putting something between the floor and new wall.
I guess damp-proof course (DPC) would work.

Wondering if there anything better

I'd guess whatever u put down will leave a mark....

UV light
Moisture
Scratches

wooden stud wall may be best but any wall not mechanically fully fixed to another at least 3 surfaces will be liable to be unstable or move unless a substantial mass
but as said any material can weep and any shadow can cause shade
also moisture levels through condensation or spills may get trapped and cause discolouration
in my opinion if you do it expect and plan to possibly rework the and have to refinish the area and hope for the best and expect the worst ??
