hell
/hɛl/
noun
  1. 1.
a place regarded in various religions as a spiritual realm of evil and suffering, often traditionally depicted as a place of perpetual fire beneath the earth where the wicked are punished after death.
"irreligious children were assumed to have passed straight to the eternal fires of hell"
synonyms: the netherworld, the land/abode of the dead, the infernal regions, the Inferno, the nether regions, the abyss;Yes,,,precisely where Tusky Baby thinks Brexit heroes should spend eternity...What a completely clever, intelligent, dude,,just who we need negotiating.

The Brexers are currently very hung up on the Irish Border problem.

That's because they want something that is impossible.

They have no solution to the problem.

If they did, they wouldn't worry about the backstop because it would never come into force.

I’m a few pages back but just thought, using your golf club anology that DP loves.

If you resign your membership of the club and leave, would they not be responsible for shutting the door behind you and monitoring it so you don’t come back in.

What i’m saying is why is the border issue not being sorted by the EU?

why is the border issue not being sorted by the EU?

(1) The UK has declared that it doesn't want freedom of movement. Therefore UK must have a hard border with the EU to keep foreigners out.

(2) However the UK has also declared that it wants an open border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

The Republic of Ireland is part of the EU and Northern Ireland is a part of the UK.

Therefore it is impossible to meet requirement (1) and (2) simultaneously.

The Brexers are a bunch of irresponsible arses who insist on being given the impossible.

He might be religious - I don't know - or it could be just a phrase like "when hell freezes over" but I'm sure you realise that.

As for your view that you just want to leave the EU, have no plans for it and don't care what happens, that is not logical nor sensible.

Its hard enough teaching DP basics, trying to teach him idioms, I think Brexit negotiations will be easier.

So are you saying the UK are sneeky gits who will try to get in a free round of golf ? We can't be trusted?:mrgreen:

The issue is what we want can't be delivered unless you tear up the GFA or May red lines.

I'm annoyed with him though. A special kind of hell was a phase I'd use occasionally but now I can't because of Tusk. It's like how Jamie Oliver ruined 'pucker'. One of my fav's that was, for years and I had to stop myself using it.

I wish these tosspots wouldn't spoil it for others :-)

You do not need a hard border to end freedom of movement. people can come and go and still not be permitted to live and work in a place.

If I can’t rent a house, get a job register for services etc etc. It becomes hard for me to stay.

You do not need a hard border to end freedom of movement.

Entry from foreign countries without visa, passport or border controls.

Lorry loads of goods from foreign countries. No customs or food safety checks.

Is that what Brexers are asking for now?
