I could understand it, if it were a motorist who had done the deed, but a motorcyclists?
These are the guys that treat cameras that take a front view of the vehicle, with impunity, knowing they will not be caught because they don't have a front numberplate to be identified by.
If the law is to be applied then it should apply equally to all.

Get on a bike then and you can behave the same way..I could understand it, if it were a motorist who had done the deed, but a motorcyclists?

You dont know this. Perhaps the stretch of road is dangerous. I know of a few open stretches of road round here that I consider to be very dangerous, and would welcome the introduction of speed cameras.I wouldn't mind if they were for safety, but they patently are not. They are a cash cow for the government, and should by rights be decorated with pound signs not yellow paint.
Obviously I can only comment on my local area. And bear in mind I live in North Wales, home of the 'Traffic Taliban'.You dont know this. Perhaps the stretch of road is dangerous. Ahh yes, the old rubber necklace; someone did the same thing to one near me on the A140; they still haven’t replaced it.
setting fire to a tyre on a speed camera does it no harm, so its a waste of time. they are desinged to be vandle proof, how ever they are not designed to be tin of spray paint proof.
