Can anyone help me out, I'm going to make up some rather nice (hopefully) picture frames, and would like to know what the little right angle staple things to strengthen the mitres are called (and the tool to hold, and hammer them).

I can't find them anywhere!!

You really need a back pinner to fit them, this holds the two pieces in position and fires the jointing plate into the wood, these can be foot operated or more often powered by compressed air.

For DIY use Then the "pushmaster" or "benchmaster" will be the closest you will get to the proper job.

Thats the badger! Didn't expect it to be quite that much though! oh well... I guess if i make more than a couple it'll be cheaper, and better than buying some frames Cheers for the help!
