sticking slaps to outdoor steps

Hi i wanted to dress up my front steps and thought of using slabs for the tread is there a glue like no more nails or am i just as well cementing them thanks for any help

use compo or mortar. masonry products are best fixed with cement based adhesive or mortar.

diyers must keep these cartridge adhesive companies in business.

i agree, they have their uses, but they are no substitute for the real thing.

i think 'no more nails' ought to be re-named 'no more fixings for lightweight, zero stressed, no impact, minimal load, hope it ain't damp, hope the wind don't blow -objects'.

I'm not a pro but I suspect waterproof floor tile adhesive would be a good bet... stronger than mortar when its thin and grips better.

agree - many floor tile adhesives are cement based and some of these would be suitable for an external location.
