hiya lads,what sort off sub-base do i need for a concrete garage floor.at the moment i have a layer of smashed up house bricks on top of compacted soil.i,m looking at 100mm of concrete but unsure of what to go between concrete and smashed house bricks.any help much appreciated in advance.

The compacted soil is a bit worrying. You should have taken all the top soil away.
Depending on that compacted soil you'll need minimum of 150mm hardcore, maybe more 'cos of the soil.
If you're putting in a dpm, you'll need a 50mm sand blinding to prevent the hardcore puncturing the dpm.
So I would suggest , at least 100mm hardcore, compacted to refusal.
MOT type 1, at least 50 mm, maybe more to achieve a reasonably level finish.
Building sand, 50mm blinding.
DPM
Each layer compacted to refusal.
