I have been doing some periodic inspections recently ready
for easter and the start of the tourist season.
I have done one site where the 'maintenance man'
has been around before I get there to try to make
sure nothing fails.
He has supp bonded approx 30 bathrooms in the
last few weeks. Fare enough, he knew
not to bother with the kitchen.
He took two 4mm earths from the fuseboard,
and ringed around all taps and the supply to the toilet.
I have never seen a bonding ring
Take a look.....
Now I dont like two cables in a single crimp for a start............
but it's the fact this bonding is just so pointless! And it must
have taken an age getting those banjos where they are!
30-ish bathrooms, around an hour and half each would you say?
Thats got to be at least 45 hours, if not more, of complete wasted
time and energy! Lucky the fuseboards where adjacent.
