The Brexers couldn't agree what sort of Brexit they wanted before the referendum, and they can't agree now. They (including Tony) have no right to try to force one of the varieties onto the rest of us when nobody voted for it.

So - you still don't think that lack of control of those things has been the choice of the UK Government.

NI border seems difficult to control.

Leaving does indeed seem a bit suicidal, but then you have to take into account regardless of your leave or remain vote, I would hazard I guess, and yes I admit it's a guess, that the large majority of the UK population will never regard themselves as European.
That is true, but just a sign of ignorance and/or brainwashing.

Maybe, but it's true, I don't consider myself European in any way shape or form, and that's from someone who thinks brexit is a terrible idea.
Our position under Johnson's exhumed and warmed-up May Surrender Treaty will be like that of a cow, tethered to the wall of a barn outside, while 27 animals are inside the barn.
The cow will be chained so that she will not be able to walk more than a few feet away, and so will be constrained to her own little muddy, barren, grassless patch. However, the other animals in the barn will periodically come out and suck at the cows teat for all they are worth, and will humiliate and beat the cow when she can produce no more milk.
Meanwhile, the cow's sisters will be grazing away contentedly on the lush, green pastures beyond.

Thankfully we never adopted the euro.
The same intellectuals who wanted the euro now say we face armageddon if we leave the eu with out a deal.
That's not true.
The CBI pushed for us joining the euro, and now they're pushing to stay closely aligned.
