Survival of EU at stake

 do what :confused:o_O:confused:o_O

What's wrong - don't you like actual real news? Which way either go is debatable.

UK tests a vaccine on Thursday. Human trial. Is it safe first. Then blind trials 50% get the vaccine and 50% don't. Earliest possible result, autumn but then comes the problem of making millions of them. If it works.

Main problem is I stick to accurate ramblings or use the word seems. Accurate often doesn't go down well with some.

The source of the research is reputable, so confidence is reasonably high that it may work.

Given the hundreds of billions that will be spent in the general economy, would it not be worth a gamble with the estimated £200m to start mass producing in advance?
After all hospitals have been built 'just in case' and tens of millions spent on tests that don't work!

Also I've often wondered who would take part in clinical trials.
I can understand those who have a terminal illness wanting a 'last throw of the dice', but what about healthy people?

With that in mind (and like most of us having time on our hands) I contacted our life insurance company to find out what would happen should I for whatever reason decide to step forward.
Null and void should a related death occur given the nature of taking a known risk!
So even if I contemplated doing so, it's now out of the question!

By far the most likely outcome in the worst case is that it doesn't offer any protection, very unlikely to cause significant contra indications (side effects)

But the financial implications I was talking about could affect the future of your family.

"Taking part in a clinical trial may affect some types of insurance that you already have or are thinking of getting. This will depend on the type of trial and the type of insurance...

Health problems found through taking part in a clinical trial may affect whether you are able to take out insurance in the future. Or it may change the terms you are offered when you apply for insurance."
