Wow!...this google is great! It searches for stuff for you? Really? Well I never!
...uh oh....just discovered a problem on this google thingy....
It's not actually that accurate, as when I search for "unhelpful" it didn't come up with your name...
Maybe I'll try alta vista instead, or maybe thats a little before your time!
There are many traditional style wall lights available some of which come with a pull cord, as well as plastic spotlight surface fittings with a switch built in.
Some picture lights have been known to come with a switch, as well as bathroom shaver light type fittings, which I know you don't want.
It's true they don't make a batten holder with a pull cord, they seem to exist in America though.
