TANKING OR DPC

Well I must admit your good at one thing....Good at ruining a DIY site . I used to like comng on here having the banter and answering peoples questions, but now all we get is this crap about nobody has got any experience of lime plastering and therefore we dont know our trade, and all the info we give out is the wrong info. It's no wonder that most of the lads on here dont come on now. Maybe this 3 month holiday on a horse farm in Sandhurst will do you good and give us a break, from You....

That's your hand-up not mine. I can always log on to keep you company but no I think I will just enjoy.

your words

It was originally lime and damp because it was designed to be since it was a basement.

Now i have RENDERED ( not tanked ) loads of cellars/basements with damp problems, as you said it was designed as a basement, so it wasnt going to be lived in, and have never had any problems.

As ive said in earlier posts, i still work around a few of the houses where i have rendered the cellar/basement and they are 1000000% dry, no damp, no problems, no mould, no crumbling, nothing. Some are bedrooms, one is a kitchen. Im not saying your way is wrong at all but every situation on this forum you say, no dont do that use lime. In certain situation i would agree, but its every single time.

Im not arguing with you, thats for you and joe to do, but i dont thin there has been a post on here you haven't said, no you must use lime.

This is the whole problem, you can not know what damage you are causing but damage you are causing. If you are happy with it then so be it, you are doing your customers a wrong'en.

Plastering is more than laying it on, that bit is easy and if you don't know your trade then you need to go back to collage.

Plasterers like yourself are causing damage to old building across the country, reputable plasterers are taking note of the specialists and are starting to do the job right, the cowboys just throw on anything.

To sand and cement old stone and brick houses is a disgrace, you should be ashamed of yourself....

You might as well take off holidays and sleep etc
if i did that you would probably only end up with your training years and your 29 years will be whittled down to 5 years

Would still give me more experience than you. We are fully booked up and some of the lads work 7 days because the work is there for them. I don't even need to turn in, contracts still get finished and my bank account is very, very healthy.

Noticed the s hole of a back yard you live in from one of your pics

Notice you complain about no work

Maybe if you worked a bit harder you wouldn't have to live in a s hole..? ;)
