Tap attached to neighbours extension

If it’s your tap and attached to your neighbours house you have no choice but to remove it urgently

I wouldnt want it on my house either tbh. Just shift it to the front of the two extensions on your wall. Simple enough for a plumber if you cant do it.

Yeah ongoing dispute result of when they had loft conversion done. Loads of things went wrong flooded our kitchen, blow electrics came through into our side of house. The problem was I complained and that upset them. They never apologised and just not good. They had security camera looking into our house and I asked for it to be moved for privacy reasons. They asked for electric cable to be removed from fence as a response which I did. Now asking for this tap to be removed or else he will remove tap himself.
You could just remove the tap, extend the pipework and relocate it somewhere on your side but your neighbor still might not like the fact that the pipe is clipped to their side of the extension.

If so, then you'll have to get the whole pipe supplying the tap removed.

Surely the water is supplied from your water supply and not the neighbors? Turn on the tap and inspect the water meter.

I think my main problem is him saying get it done in 7 days. I can’t actually get done in this time frame. My sister is a plumber and explained what would need to be done. My issue is neighbour coming onto my property and removing tap.

He cannot put a time frame on it like that, just tell him your on with it

What childish behavior.

Just find the isolator for the pipe and turn it off and remove the tap by unscrewing it with a spanner. The tap isn't fixed to anything so it should come off.

Job done.

Looking at the way it is installed, I doubt there will be an isolator

The tap is not attached to anything the pipework has a clip on neighbours wall , unclip and it’s no longer attached to their property . 2 min job.

There’s clips on the wall which the pipe is on. He’s also asked me to make good on any damage done to his wall. But seeing as I can’t get down the gap no idea how can do that.

If things have got this petty, assuming his brickwork is the boundary line, you can just remove the pipe clip and leave the pipe and tap; they are on your side of the boundary and therefore fork all to do with him....

The problem is if the pipe is clipped further down where it is out of reach....

But, you have to live next to this r sole, so you may want to just tug your forelock and keep the peace. I would.

Just seen your reply posted the same time as mine.

Ask him how you can disconnect the pipe and make good when you cannot reach the pipework.

All you could do is cut off what you can and disconnect at the other end. Then reinstate the pipe and tap using a different route.

No idea how I can take off the clips on his wall without knocking extension down. I would isolate and remove tap. However he will say to remove clips pipe from his wall even if I remove tap.

How ever did anyone get in that gap, to clip it all?

Was you house perhaps built after his, and that tap was perhaps installed on that wall by one of his predecessors? Does the water from the tap stop, when you turn off your stop tap? It could be embarrassing for him, if in fact it's his tap.

It’s my water supply but clipped onto to neighbours side of house. This was done 18 years ago when extension on my side was built. They are just saying nothing can be attached there so remove. Gap between house is about 10 cm guess. I would happily just remove tap but the rest is so annoying to do.
