Texecom Premier Elite 48 ComIP help!

so finally got this thing working. just in case anyone else ever has to deal with the same issue:

what i had to do was set both com1, com2 to not fitted
set com1 to comip
put in the ip details of what i want the control4/crestron comip to be
set com1 to crestron
set ip details to what i want the panel/wintex comip to be
set com2 to comip

so this means:
setting the ip only via lantronix deviceinstaller is not sufficient
the ip settings of the comip used for crestron is not stored in the wintex config maybe?

anyway, a lot of faffing about, glad i got it fixed in the end!

on newer firmware you can assign ip addresses to each ip module from the panel.
