I tried to ring the DWP Pension Service, to have them amend my bank details, to a new bank. After 30 minutes faffing about press 1, press 3, press 997, it played a message saying they close at 3pm, try doing it online, I then started doing it online, without an account, wasted another 30 minutes filling details in, and at the end, it said I wasn't yet entitled to use the service.
So I spent another 30 minutes setting up an account, got all the details in, then it passes the test of validity, onto some credit reference agency to check your details in greater detail.. It then asked me a series of questions about when I last opened a phone contract, when I last opened a new bank account, passed those questions, then...... It listed around five different addresses, and asked me which of them I had been associated with recently, but no option to select 'none of them'. I've lived at this address, for the last 40 years, and didn't recognise any of the offered addresses - should I be worried?
