Heart specialist Gerry McCann rang his sister Trish in Scotland after Maddy vanished from her cot placed between two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie.

Trish revealed yesterday: "He was breaking his heart, saying 'Madeleine's been abducted, she's been abducted'."

Trish said: "When Kate checked, she came out screaming. Maddy had gone. The door was open and the window in the bedroom and shutters were jemmied open. Nothing had been touched and no valuables taken."

"Kate came screaming back to the group crying, 'They’ve taken her, they’ve taken her'. Gerry was crying and roaring like a bull."

"They think someone must have come in the window and gone out the door with her."

Why do they assume she's been abducted and not just wandered off?

Why do they say 'they've taken her'? Who is they?

Why do they lie about the shutters being broken and jemmied?

And if your child had been taken would your really be checking to see if your travellers cheques had been touched? FFS.

Why was Gerry 'roaring like a bull'? Crying? That's a new one. He went out jogging next day like nothing had happened.

Well? Gimme some answers.

Well I'd firstly want to know where it's from.... is it factual?

The court is there with powers you and I don't have.... it will be gleaning things even you don't know !

Had they answered the charge of "abandonment" in Portugal no doubt they would have been proven guilty and jailed.
They were down the pub having a laff and getting drunk whilst their child was left in danger.

You can rest assured that if that story was wrong the Maccans would have sued the mirror just as they've sued everyone else. That's what they do, spend all their time and effort suing people.
