As I said creating, possessing and/or distributing indecent images of Children is and has been a serious offence for a long time.
This new law that Labour are so proud of has absolutely nothing to do with children. In fact there is no mention of children at all in the act.

Nobody is saying it's ok to create indecent images of kids. They appear to be saying by combining the act of creating intimate images (soon to be unlawful without consent) of adults and indecent images of kids (been unlawful for ages) they are weaponising one to create support for the other.

Tightening up the rules/laws regards the simplicity with which AI can be used to create sexually abusive images, will always get the vote from decent law abiding folks.

Those that try and dismiss it as a child protection stunt, at the same time lessening the seriousness of how AI massively benefits paedophiles, is abhorrent.

You need to cast a wide net with AI. It is a very sinister tool, when in the wrong hands.

Some of the fun vids are hilarious. Professional internetters and companies will just need decent training. I can see it catching a few influencer types out though, so it will be interesting to see how the law is actually applied.
