I am about to replace my Tigerloop (which has been fitted inside) with a Tigerloop Bio. The connections to/from the old one are made up of a variety of different fitings and I was wondering what are the correct fittings to use; 1/4" taper or parallel, and should I use PTFE tape on them or something else?

1/4" taper or paralell will be ok use PTFE & a liquid sealant such as "Heldite" or "Oilseal" be careful not to overtighten tapered fittings as you can split the Tiggerloop body!
