Tiling a laminated kitchen worktop?

Can I tile directly over a laminated kitchen worktop and if so, do I need special adhesive? Will they stick and what do I need to watch for?

I'm not sure if you'd be able to. Not a lot sticks to laminate. I remember getting tile adhesive on my work top when i tiled my kitchen and it came off very easily.

If you could find a way to really abraid the work top, then i suppose it would work if you used waterproofed tile cement, i mean something seriously abrasive such as a grinder, may seem a bit OTT but if it works, then alls well.try it on a scrap piece out of a skip/offcut ?
